HISTORY

Amherst Orthopedic Therapy Associateswas started as a partnership by Peter J. Schaus and Kenneth J. Trzecki in 1978. The original clinic was located in Amherst, hence the name. The office moved to Buffalo in 1981 and to its present location in 1988. A second office, serving the Southtowns, was established in 1986 and a third partner, Susan Godson, joined the practice to run that office. Ken and Susan left the practice in 1998 and Peter Schaus assumed ownership at that time. A recent expansion at the Delaware clinic in 2001 provides increased exercise facilities, equipment and an in-ground therapeutic pool in order to facilitate early rehabilitation in an environmentally controlled, resistance free, unweighted medium.
